2025
A year with wide variations of rainfall paired with high mid summer heat and low leaf disease. Grain fill on both corn and soy was cut short with little rain in August. Rain events were more plentiful closer to US12 and tapered off when moving north and south.
2024
2024 was a year defined by above average rainfall in most areas, with some areas of the county receiving over 25 inches. The season ended with dry August weather that affected late season pod fill, an influx of tar spot and root disease.
2023
The spring of 2023 made for extremely tough planting conditions due to hard dry soils. Late emergence and diminished stands were a result. Above average rainfall occurred mid season bring seasonal rain back o average. The year ended with good corn but below average soybean yields.
