Corn Disease Update for week of 7/6/26

The recent  increase in foggy mornings is leading to longer durations of leaf wetness and likely to move corn leaf diseases in sooner than average. Additionally, areas with excessive rainfall have had above average leaching of nitrogen and sulfur. This scenario will likely lead to degradation of late season plant health. Growers should continue to monitor plant health and weather conditions while forming a plan for fungicide applications.

Corn Disease Update for week of 7/20/26

Continued weather patterns promoting leaf wetness have move crops closer to the fungicide application window. Many fields planted in mid April are in an ideal window for fungicide. Additional scouting may be necessary as Western Bean cutworm flights are higher than average. This year looks like a fungicide/insecticide pass will line up well with emerging WBCW.
